Gluinos are expected to be light for a natural electroweak scale, but the LHC has not seen them yet. Many possibilities have been proposed to hide natural gluinos in the LHC data, but are these methods really effective? In this talk, I will discuss the current status of kinematically accessible gluinos. By noting the most common features - MET, tops, and high multiplicity - which pervade natural gluino decays, I will argue that there are few places left to hide. I will briefly discuss the remaining weaknesses in LHC coverage and how to bolster them.

Progress in calculating S matrix elements have shown that the malicious redundancies in non-linear gauge theories can be circumvented by utilizing unitarity methods in conjunction with BCFW recursion relations. When calculating in this fashion all of the interaction vertices beyond the three point function can be ignored. This simplification is especially useful in gravity which contains an infinite number of such non-linear interactions. It is natural to ask whether off-shell quantities, such as classical solutions, can also be generated using only the three point vertex. In this talk I will show that this is indeed the case by extracting classical solutions to GR from on-hell two to two scattering S-matrix elements. In so doing we will completely circumvent the action as well as the equations of motion. The only inputs will be Lorentz invariance, the existence of a massless spin-two particle and locality. Because of the double copy relation this implies there exists, a yet to be understood, connection between solutions to Yang-Mills theory and Gravity. I will also discuss how this technique can be used to simplify calculations of higher order post-Newtonian corrections to gravitational potentials relevant to the problem of binary inspirals.

The effective number of neutrino species in our universe, Neff, is capable of probing the presence of new light or massless species in our universe. I will first review relevant facts about both CMB measurements of new light species and thermodynamics in the early universe. Then, I will present the effects of many models of BSM physics containing new light species on the CMB, including models containing eV-scale sterile neutrinos compatible with anomalies in neutrino experiments, and interpret the compatibility of the parameter space of these models in terms of the recent results from the Planck satellite. I will argue that the bounds on couplings obtained from the Planck measurement of the CMB are competitive with bounds coming from other areas of physics.

We propose a robust, unified framework, in which the similar baryon and dark matter cosmic abundances both arise from the physics of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs), with the rough quantitative success of the so-called “WIMP miracle”. In particular the baryon asymmetry arises from the decay of a meta-stable WIMP after its thermal freezeout at or below the weak scale. A minimal model and its embedding in R-parity violating (RPV) natural SUSY are studied as examples. The new mechanism saves RPV SUSY from the potential crisis of washing out primordial baryon asymmetry. We also consider the embedding of this idea in RPV split SUSY, where the mechanism works within the minimal model, and independently motivates the mini-split scale. Phenomenological implications for the LHC and precision tests are discussed.

I'll discuss a class of supersymmetric models in which the physical Higgs mass is freed from the quartic coupling, thereby allowing for a 125 GeV Higgs state whose self-interaction can be much smaller than in the SM via a mechanism of 'induced EWSB'. This class of models provides a unique alternative to other realizations of natural SUSY, and the simplest realizations necessitate additional characteristic scalars below the TeV scale, thus altering phenomenological predictions for additional Higgses at the LHC.

Heavy particle expansions, familiar from heavy quark physics, have found important applications in the analysis of dark matter candidates and their interactions with the Standard Model. From a different direction, precision spectroscopy of muonic hydrogen has challenged QED and required more precise knowledge of proton structure. These problems have forced a closer examination of the construction of general heavy particle lagrangians at high orders in the 1/M expansion, and in the absence of known ultraviolet completions. Key aspects of this formalism, including the emergence of Lorentz invariance from "nonrelativistic" lagrangians, are reviewed, and several applications are presented. A status report on the proton radius puzzle is given.

Searches for physics beyond the standard model come in many forms, from terrestrial probes to astroparticle experiments and cosmological observations. Efforts to combine multiple search channels in 'global fits' to new physics scenarios typically consider only a subset of the available channels. Astroparticle searches in particular are usually only included in a very approximate way, if at all. In this talk I will review recent progress in including detailed gamma-ray, neutrino and CMB searches for dark matter in global fits. I will also preview some of the future developments and challenges in this field, where the applicability of global fits will move well beyond the small range of constrained supersymmetric models they have so far mostly been applied to.

We propose a simple renormalizable model of baryogenesis and asymmetric dark matter generation at the electroweak phase transition. Our setup utilizes the two Higgs doublet model plus two complex gauge singlets, the lighter of which is stable dark matter. The dark matter is charged under a global symmetry that is broken in the early universe but restored during the electroweak phase transition. Because the ratio of baryon and dark matter asymmetries is controlled by model parameters, the dark matter need not be light. Thus, new force carriers are unnecessary and the symmetric dark matter abundance can be eliminated via Higgs portal interactions alone. The dark matter mass is also constrained within a window around the weak scale. One of the main predictions of this model is CP violating Higgs signals at the LHC and future colliders.

The local Callan-Symanzik equation describes the response of a quantum field theory to local scale transformations in the presence of background sources. The consistency conditions associated with this anomalous equation can be used to derive powerful constraints on RG flows. We will discuss various aspects of the equation and present new results regarding the structure of the anomaly. We then use the equation to write correlation functions of the trace of the energy-momentum tensor off-criticality.

We study the naturalness problem using a model independent bottom up approach by considering models where only the interaction terms needed to cancel the Higgs quadratic divergences are present. If quadratic divergences are canceled by terms linear in the Higgs field, then the collider phenomenology is well covered by current electroweakino and fourth generation searches. If quadratic divergences are canceled by terms bilinear in the Higgs field, then the signatures are highly dependent on the quantum numbers of the new particles. Precision Higgs measurements can reveal the presence of new particles with either vevs or Standard Model charges. If the new particles are scalar dark matter candidates, their direct and indirect detection signatures will be highly correlated and within the reach of XENON100 and Fermi. Observation at one of these experiments would imply observation at the other one. Observable LHC decay channels can also arise if the new particles mix with lighter states. This decay channel involves only the Higgs boson and not the gauge bosons. Observation of such decays would give evidence that the new particle is tied to the naturalness problem.
