p-adic aspects of modular forms
The aim of this program is to focus on the p-adic aspects of modular forms and related topics. The program consists of two components, an instructional workshop followed by a discussion meeting. There will be several mini-courses in the workshop that will focus on two broad themes. There will be introductory lectures on p-adic families of automorphic forms with some modularity lifting applications in mind. Another set of lectures will focus on the construction of p-adic L-functions in various situations and its applications. The final part of the program will be a three day discussion meeting in which the state of current research in these topics will be discussed.

Cosmology Day
ICTS is organizing a one-day discussion meeting to discuss selected recent trends in Cosmology, covering topics in theory, observations and simulations. The very exciting BICEP2 results were announced recently. The third round of results from the Planck satellite are to be announced this year and SDSS BOSS has come out with the outcome of their survey. With the recent observational developments, the Standard Model of Cosmology and the paradigm of inflation has been established on solid ground and the time is ripe to go beyond the standard model. The next generation of surveys are now planned. The Indian cosmology community is steadily getting involved in these worldwide cosmology missions. The meeting will feature talks touching a wide spectrum of contemporary topics. A brainstorming session on future prospects for growth of the Indian cosmology research within the global context is also planned.
