String Theory Course
We will review the basics of the bosonic string following the first eight video lectures on the topic by Freddy Cachazo, which can be found in 11/12 PSI - String Theory (Review) | PIRSA. We will aim at covering the definitions of the Nambu Goto and Polyakov actions, lightcone quantization, the string spectrum, and basic calculations of string scattering from 2d CFT correlators. The miniseries will last for four weeks and will consist of two video sessions per week, followed by a Q&A about the videos of the week lead by Adrian Lopez.
