Chanda Prescod-Weinstein earned her bachelors in Physics and Astronomy and Astrophysics at Harvard College in 2003. In 2005, she was awarded a Masters of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She earned her PhD at the University of Waterloo and Perimeter Institute in 2010. Dr. Prescod-Weinstein currently holds a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellowship in the Observational Cosmology Lab of Goddard Space Flight Center.
In addition, Dr. Prescod-Weinstein has a strong commitment to diversifying science and is a member of the executive committee of the National Society of Black Physicists, where she is the chair of the Cosmology, Gravitation and Relativity group.
