The theme of this program is differential geometric techniques with emphasis on applications to algebraic geometry. Several series of both expository and research talks will be given by international experts. The highest point of this program will be a series of lectures by Prof. T. Mochizuki on his recent very fundamental work leading to his proof of Kashiwara's conjecture.
Talks: A series of lectures on various topics in Mathematical Finance will be held at TIFR's Centre for Applicable Mathematics, Bangalore during April 2009. Check this website for announcements.Workshop: May 9 - 16, 2009 at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Department of Mathematics. The workshop will be on two different subtopics: stochastic volatility and credit risk.Talks: are by invitation onlyRegistration: No registration fees for the conference apply. All are welcome to attend the talks. Meals and activites outside of the talks are for Invited and Registered participants only. This program consists of a number of small meetings organised around a central conference NuGoa09 in Goa during Apr 8-15, 2009. The themes will be (i) models of neutrino masses and mixing, (ii) CP violation in the leptonic sector and leptogenesis, (iii) physics prospects at long baseline experiments, (iv) neutrino astrophysics and cosmology. The smaller meetings will concentrate on one of these themes. The Program Aspects of Neutrinos will take place during April 1-24, 2009 in India. It will focus on(i) models of neutrino masses and mixing,(ii) leptonic CP violation and leptogenesis,(iii) physics at long baseline experiments,(iv) neutrino astrophysics and cosmology. The centerpiece of this Program is going to be a week-long conference NuGoa09 to be held at the International Centre, Goa during Apr 8-15, 2009. There is no registration fee. The room and board of the participants will be taken care of by the conference. Accommodation will be provided (the norm is two participants per room) i...

Understanding anomalous transport and developing a general theory for transport in low-dimensional systems is an important problem in theoretical physics with much practical implications. This program aims at getting together leading researchers in the field and trying to form a consensus on the various known results and discuss strategies and approaches in solving some of the outstanding problems. The first two days of the program will have pedagogic lectures aimed at advanced graduate student. Invited Speakers: Cedric Bernardin, Giulio Casati, Abhishek Chaudhuri, Abhishek Dhar, Deepak Dhar, Jean-Pierre Eckmann, Peter Grassberger, Bambi Hu, Arun Jayannavar, Joel Lebowitz, Baowen Li, Roberto Livi, Jani Lukkarinen, Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, Carlos Mejia-Monasterio, Onnutom Narayan, Stefano Olla, Tomaz Prosen, Ram Ramaswamy, Sriram Ramaswamy, Sanjib Sabhapandit, Keiji Saito, Herbert SpohnLectures: Other than the invited talks the first two days of the workshop will have pedagogic lectures o...
