In the last few decades the ΛCDM paradigm has been firmly established as the “Standard Model” of cosmology. While this phenomenological model is known to be a good fit for most existing data, some tensions have come to light in recent years. In addition, with the flood of data expected from current and future cosmological surveys and laboratory experiments, we will be in a position to go beyond such a phenomenological description by critically examining the pillars on which this model is grounded, and deepening our understanding of the fundamental physics from which it emerges. This in-person workshop on the Less Travelled Path to the Dark Universe (LTPDU) will bring together particle physicists and cosmologists from all over the world to address current questions and new directions in cosmological probes of fundamental physics — including the search for Dark Matter beyond the WIMP paradigm, the nature of Dark Energy, inflationary physics, neutrino physics, and the status and role of va...
